Based on our own knowledge of the gold dealers in our country, we know that the list is NOT a comprehensive and exhaustive list of Where To Buy & Sell Gold. But it is a good place to start investigating before making any purchases or sales.

Separately, in the US and Canada, a good indicator of the reliability of any business is when they are accredited with BBB or Better Business Bureau.

 

If a business has been accredited by the BBB, it means BBB has determined that the business meets accreditation standards which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints. BBB accredited businesses pay a fee for accreditation review/monitoring and for support of BBB services to the public.

Even so, note this disclaimer by BBB:

BBB accreditation does not mean that the business’ products or services have been evaluated or endorsed by BBB, or that BBB has made a determination as to the business’ product quality or competency in performing services.

Point to note is to click on the BBB logo on the website of the business and ensure that it is not a dead link but one that brings you to the BBB official site that confirms the live status  of the BBB accreditation. It is our own experience in one case that a BBB logo on a gold-related website was a dead link. Enquiries with BBB showed that the business is legit but is in arrears with BBB fees. Hmmm..(we must add that the said website is NOT in the Table above).
